Authors: [info]anidawehi and [info]kyrdwyn
Pairing: Tim Drake/Conner Kent

Genre: AU (non-hero)
Summary: A young businessman who has no time for holidays, or love, finds both when trapped in Smallville, Kansas, with a handsome young farmer.

rough day, support, Tim/Kon, comfort
Not for me, but for one of my favorite authors.  For those of you who haven't heard, Rob Thurman, a FANTASTIC writer and wonderful woman, was in a very bad car accident a week or so ago and she's still in the ICU.  She's gotten worse rather than better recently and when she makes it out of this (I refuse to believe that she won't, she's too generous and funny of a person to be taken from us this young) she's going to have a lot of medical bills.

Despite being a NYTimes best selling author, Rob was very open about that fact that she was having trouble making ends meet already (They don't actually get much money from their books) and so she'll really need support from her fans.  I know I've raved about her work before but PLEASE, if you've got even the faintest interest in Urban Fantasy or thrillers, go buy one of her books.  I can promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Here is the offcial blog about her condition and a great place to find out more about her books and where to get them.  And please spread the word!  Thank you all!

Thank you so much kirax2  and moonriddler_mim for the v-gifts!  They were a lovely surprise after a long week (So far) of tons of school work.  Who doesn't love chocolate?

Thank you again!

Also?  Don't worry about the FBI phone call I mentioned on Twitter Mim, some asshat stole our mail and got caught.  It's a federal crime so the FBI handles it.  The call was just to let us know when the court date for the guy was in case we wanted to be there, and make sure that we hadn't had any credit problems because of it.  It was just a weird little note to the day.  *Hugs*

As seen through tweets:

Hate research papers, in case anyone wondered. HATE. If I decide to take another English class during a 5wk summer session, someone smack me.

I'm going to feed my Giant Dog and throw things for her to fetch and hopefully regain the fortitude to finish this research paper proposal.

Covered in slobber, dirt, hair, and dog smell. Also much happier now. Time to get back to work. *Sigh* http://yfrog.com/kftfcvxj

Is anyone else having problems getting onto Comment_Fic?  For some reason it refuses to load, though I can access pretty much every other LJ page I try to get to and I've never had any problems with it before.  This is frustrating the heck out of me... I miss Comment_Fic!!!

Yikes!

So... Apperantly it's a bad idea to piss me off...

My boyfriend, mikebrown0424 , and I have been making plastic water guns and nerf guns into seriously bad ass looking cosplay weapons for our Browncoat costumes for DragonCon and I'm thinking of making an Etsy store and offering some for sale.  I'm thinking $30-50 for the ones pictured here and here and around $60 for the shotgun sized ones.  (You can't see all of the awesome detail in my crappy cell phone pictures, there's fake blood smears and 'grease' spots and 'dirt' stains along with scoring on the 'metal' and such so they're much cooler looking than they seem in the pictures.) Leather holsters/straps would be offered as well, for sale by themselves and for a lower price with the guns, but I'd have to figure out how much I'd charge for those later... maybe $5-15 with the guns and $15-30 without? (The way they're constructed would fit most guns of various sizes.)  Maybe leather 'ship' patches too, but we haven't experimented with them so that's up in the air.

I'd like to know what you all think about the idea...  Would you pay that much for good quality cosplay weapons and holsters?  Any advice on that front?  I've never tried to sell my arts and crafts before but Mike and I both really enjoy doing it and making money on it in the process would be awesome.

Any input you all have would be great, thanks!!!
